around the house: soap dispensers

I've been refilling Method hand soap containers at all of our sinks for the past year and a half. As much as I love Method, I do not love the way those plastic soap dispensers look. I found these beautiful (& useful--in keeping with The William Morris Project) soap dispensers at Target. This is such a small change, but our counter tops look so much lovelier and so much more finished to me.

Now I just need to paint both of our bathrooms!

Those dispensers are so pretty! I did the same thing recently, but I chose all plastic dispensers from Target because my kids are pretty hard on them (anything to encourage hand washing!). Still, much better than the bottles the soap comes in!

Those are really nice. Very classic looking. Beautiful counters too! I have all sorts of different soap dispensers by our sinks, but I really love our giant one by the kitchen sink that has dish soap in it. So much nicer than having the icky plastic bottle round!

I love the Method soap, but have to agree with you that they are not my favorite container. And almost impossible to pump with one hand without it skittering across the counter! I love how such a small change can refresh a room.

I have been wanting to get those very same ones!

Those are lovely! Too bad there isn't an all metal option for you, Melissa! I love that they look timeless, unlike plastic pumps with ocean reef scenes or fruit slices on them...

I agree that these do make a nice difference. I am always amazed by how small details can lift the room and my mood.

As part of my newly installed basement utility sink and challenges with the hot water supply coming from my furnace, I had a water pressure gauge installed on the water line in the house.

Those are really beautiful! I can't go all glass yet because of my hard-on-everything kids, so instead, I just remove labels from the plastic ones. I really hate labels.

Also, I like the foam dispensers because I can buy regular soap, add water and instantly have foam soap. I don't think they make pretty glass foam dispensers yet.

Excellent! If we had a target, I'd go buy me a clear one this instant. Beautiful and Useful.
