shorts: target; tee: american apparel; cardigan: banana republic; peacoat: target; socks: target; boots: calvin klein; necklace: forever 21; knuckle ring: forever 21
Hmmm...I swear this outfit looked way better in real life. I think it might have been better with different shoes? And maybe it would have looked better if I had taken my coat off for the picture? Oh well, at least Chloe looks adorable in her new coat : )
jeans: old navy; tee: american apparel; cardigan: j.crew; scarf: target (I think); boots: victoria's secret; handbag: brahmin; earrings: world market
I wore this to LACMA the day after Thanksgiving instead of doing any Black Friday shopping. I went with my friend, Sarah, who went to high school with me in Michigan and now we're both living down in Southern California. Isn't that crazy? It really is such a small world. LACMA is a great art museum to visit if you are in the area--it's very close to the Grove/Farmers' Market and it's part of the Miracle Mile/Museum Row.

dress: j.crew; sweater: j.crew; tights: urban outfitters; shoes: nine west
I love these tights but I think this is the first time that I've worn them. Two people at work told me that at first glance they thought that I had gone out and gotten full leg tattoos. Hmm...not so sure that's the look that I'm going for...
Well, I've reached the half-way mark! I'm realizing that I need to work on accessorizing. So, that's what I'll focus on in my next 15 outfits! I also need to invest in some more versatile cardigans (after the 30 for 30 is over, of course...) to update my classic pieces.

Chloe decided to join in on all of this dressing up and taking pictures fun. Isn't her little sweater cute?

jeans: old navy; sweater: gap; scarf: target; coat: old navy; boots: victoria's secret; headband: j.crew
It was cold and rainy this weekend, so this is what I wore whenever I had to leave the house. I'm loving this red plaid peacoat--doesn't Old Navy have some cute jackets for this winter?

jeans: old navy; blazer: old navy; t-shirt: american apparel; shoes: nine west; handbag: brahmin; bracelets: forever 21 & h&m; watch: michael kors; earrings: foxy originals
This was my outfit for date night with my hubby. We went to our favorite sushi place and then saw Due Date which was hilarious. Downtown Brea was all decorated for Christmas and it was so cute. These giant ornaments were all over the place--aren't they fun?

skirt: ann taylor, top: h&m, cardigan: j.crew; tights: target, shoes: nine west; necklace: forever 21
I love this skirt. I originally bought it to wear for our wedding (we had planned to elope), but didn't end up wearing it. I like it with just the black top and tights, but it has been so cold in the mornings and my office is usually freezing, so I threw this sweater on.
And I wore the new shoes! Aren't they fun?

dress: anthropologie, sweater: ann taylor, boots: calvin klein, tights: assets; belt: michael kors; earrings: world market
I wore this to work and then to meet up with my Auntie Sherril for a drink afterward. This is one of my favorite dresses and definitely one of my favorite pairs of shoes! Oh, and when I got home today my new shoes were there, so you will definitely be seeing those in tomorrow's outfit!

top: h&m, pants: gap, cardigan: banana republic outlet, boots: victoria's secret, necklace: forever21, earrings: world market
I wore this to work today and then to Chloe's puppy class this evening. Not the most exciting outfit ever. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little more interesting : )

If you've never seen her blog, you need to check it out. Kendi of Kendi Everyday started the 30 for 30 remix challenge. I think this is the third or fourth round of it, and I've decided to join in (it's not too late if you want to join!). Here is the challenge: I have picked out 30 items which include clothes and shoes but not accessories, and they are the only items that I will be wearing for the next 30 days (starting tomorrow). Also, no shopping for the next 30 days : (
There are only 5 pairs of shoes in the photograph--I ordered this pair of shoes from piperlime and should have them soon!

And here it is now:
The first thing that you'll notice in these "after" pictures of our bathrooms is that there are no mirrors! I plan to go buy mirrors tomorrow and I'll post pictures once we have some more progress on these rooms. I actually don't like anything at all about this bathroom right now. I'll post my wish list/design board for this room sometime this week. I love the shower curtain in this room, but I think that I'm just kind of tired of it. If anyone wants it, let me know and I'll send it to you as soon as I buy a new one!
And here is our master bathroom before:
And here it is now:
I love the green paint in here. It's the color of one of my favorite blouses, so I thought why not try it on the walls? Again, no mirror but that should be changing soon. I've finally figured out what I want to do with the bathrooms, so hopefully you'll be seeing some updates soon : )
So much to do in these rooms:
- Paint (I'm thinking a dove grey?)
- replace "drawer" cover
- storage bins for cabinet
- towel hooks
- trash bin
- white ruffle shower curtain
- bath rug
- something for wall above toilet
- towel/robe hooks
- paint door
- touch-up paint in ceiling corner
- light fixture
- new shower (at some point)
- shower rug

Jelly fish must be the ballet dancers of the ocean.
Cute little puffins.
Giant spider crabs.
Can you spythe rockfish?
A baby shark pod--they cut part of it out and inserted a panel of clear plastic so that visitors can watch a shark embryo grow. Isn't that amazing?
A zebra shark that looks more like a cheetah shark to me...
My favorite fish of the day.
Last weekend we finally made it to the Aquarium of the Pacific, and I got to cross the first thing off of my 26 Before Twenty-Six List! Justin loves tropical fish, and I was really excited to see the two new baby sea lions! I was amazed by all of the beautiful tanks and the detail that goes into replicating the natural environments of the different species.
P.S. Sorry for the BlackBerry photos--I switched handbags before we left and forgot my camera...
Even though it's 97 degrees in LA today, my mind is still telling me that it's fall and I'm loving luxurious and cozy basics right now. You have to love cute cheetah print flats for under $20 and as soon as I saw the Ricky Tartan sunglasses in the Ralph Lauren ad for the holidays, I knew that I was in love. And...isn't that little Givenchy case irresistible? I don't even care what's inside...
