"I cannot fix on the hour, or the look, or the words, which laid the foundation. It is too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun."

johnnie walker

I'm not much of a whiskey drinker, but my friend just gave a presentation on Johnnie Walker's marketing campaign, and I am really impressed. The print ads are so simple yet so inspirational and provocative. I also love that they incorporate the same "striding man" logo that the brand has used for over 100 years. I believe that this marketing campaign was meant to target young professionals, and I think that they did a great job. Another impressive aspect of this campaign is how the "keep walking" message is so universal--I would love to go to work for the company that came up with this.

update

So, I haven't been posting for the past couple of weeks because so many wonderful things have been happening in my life! Here's a brief recap:

I took a long weekend up to Seattle to visit my dear friend, Kimbra. We hit up some great restaurants and clubs, drank a lot of Zoka, walked around the Green Lake several times, and browsed Pike Market where all of the beautiful fall floral arrangements made me wish that I hadn't booked a flight with a layover!

I have a new job! I am the new marketing director at a prominent financial group in Reno, and so far I am loving it! I really enjoy all of the people that I work with, and they are keeping me really busy. I get to prepare and pitch my first paid marketing plan for 2010 in a couple of weeks!

And last, but certainly not least, I have a new boyfriend. We met when I was going to school down at Biola and have kept in touch over the last 5 years. He came up to visit me in Reno a couple of weeks ago and things finally fell into place for us. : )

I couldn't be happier, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world : )
